❤ Good morning (evening? night?) my friends! This thread is for all things wholesome and heart-warming, as well as call-outs to our members for being great! If you came across something today that made you smile, this is the thread to share it. And if someone in the group made you smile... well, go ahead and call them out for spreading good vibes :)
If you are sharing a lot of images, please put them in spoiler tags to keep the page neat.
And don't hesitate to ping when you post :)
Posting Images
This is the sCode for posting an image on the forums:
However, note that for it to work on Subeta, the image URL has to be HTTPS, not HTTP. If it doesn't begin with https, usually you can just add the "s" and it will work. If not, try re-uploading it somewhere - for instance, I know Imgur supports HTTPS.
Now, real quick, some rules to note...
I'll get us started with some images that made me go "aww"
Cute amazon review
Cute geometric shapes
Finally, this one made me tear up a bit...

Everyone loves cute animal photos, right? So here's some of my furbaby. (I may come back and add more, or some of my wonderful furry work friends at some point :) )
Some photos of my kitty!

they/them/theirs, please.
(Okay, I'm about to crash into bed but I wanted to share something that made me personally laugh / made me pleased/delighted. It's probably not something necessarily hugely relatable though, depending on whether or not you like bugs.)
Insect Mention
I have this little sign on one of my desks that says "Sometimes, the smallest things take up the most room in your heart."
which is placed next to a little black cat figurine I have that reminds me of my cat. So I glanced over there a few minutes ago and noticed there's a cockroach sitting on the sign, literally above where it said "smallest things" and I thought that was HILARIOUS and also great because I hecka love bugs and other tiny creatures a lot. Including cockroaches, which I don't find gross at all and honestly think are pretty dang cute. So yeah, this made me smile haha.
Tiny friendo, hee. ❤️❤️

That is awesome. I had no idea there was an item like that... and it doesn't even seem to be a rare item, lol, I can't believe I never noticed it! I love tongue piercings (and lip piercings... and piercings in general tbh)
but seriously A+ with that plus the pink plus the crown. I am lowkey IMPRESSED

irl ?!?!? i was so surprised when i was searching for piercings in the wardrobe and saw how cheap it was (definitely not complaining) I love piercings too!
thank you though that makes me so happy to hear, I get pretty self conscious about things I create whether it be an avatar or my art or writing, so I really do appreciate it! :)
Hi, I'm new here! Name's Elaina, and I have mental disorders in which I help manage with a few things I do.
Take a bubble bath! I take a bubble bath when I'm feeling down. And I mean, I usually take baths as it is; but for the bad days, I put on my favorite music, light candles, put bubbles or a bath bomb in the tub, and perhaps cast a positivity spell (Wiccan!). Even for people who aren't Wiccan, having petals and natural things surrounding you while laying relaxed inside a bath tub is very soothing and aesthetically pleasing. :)
Help others! I am not a person who goes out much or has much motivation. Therefore, when I do go out, I feel accomplished, although I don't necessarily prefer it. However, I found that helping my grandmother or anyone brings me not only a sense of accomplishment, but also makes me happy to have done something.
Journal! I am a very artsy person. Having ADHD, though, I don't concentrate on one thing for very long. Therefore, I keep multiple journals for what I'm feeling like doing; I rant in one, I write songs in one, I draw in one, and I scrapbook in another... along with having a bullet journal! It gives me options, and knowing I have options gives me less anxiety about having nothing to do.
Feel YOU, for YOU! Some days, I look in the mirror and I think, "wow, I'm freaking UGLY." Why? Why do I have the need to think that? For starters, I've began the process of finding what I love about myself. For me, it was hard. With media and the internet showing very few realistic views, I eventually found myself happy with my 200 lbs, 5'2 body. But guess what? Nobody else cares! Nobody else looks down on you, at least to your face! Screw those haters! You're freaking amazing, inside and out. So what I do when I'm feeling crappy is put on what makes me feel my best; perfume, makeup, nice clothes, do my hair. Take selfies (don't always have to be clothed!). I may only keep them for myself, but I keep them to remind myself, "Wow, that's YOU! You're HOT! You're awesome!"
Those are only a few things I do, and I do have more, but I'd rather not fill up this thread with descriptions of what I personally do, because everyone's different! Love yourself. In the end, the only person you have is yourself... but we're here as a group now, and we love and support you. I mean, look at you!! You're NB!!! How great is that?!

Ah wow, you practice Wiccan spells? Now that's one of those topics that I find intricately fascinating, but I haven't had the time to ever read up on / educate myself on. I must admit I'm awfully intrigued by all of that, and your bubble baths sound absolutely beautiful to be honest. Does the color / shape of the petal or flower used matter much in your positivity spell, or does anything work?
I agree very, very much with your sentiment about helping others. That's a trick I frequently use when I'm feeling depressed, myself. I feel like, somewhere, someone out there must be having a good day, if mine is so very bad, and I try my best to spread positivity when I'm feeling down. It's just comforting to know hope still exists somewhere out there, even if things seem so bleak. Helping others is a very wholesome and rewarding feeling, no doubt - there's so little of kindness in this world in comparison to everything else. It's good to take the time to spread it, and think of others. ❤️❤️
Ah, you have ADHD? Which version, if you don't mind me asking? I've got another friend who's got ADHD-PI, and he's been educating me on it quite a bit (and also introduced me to stimming / stimboards / kinetic sand / etc.). Recording your thoughts in a journal sounds like a great way to keep track of everything! And ah, a fellow songwriter and artist - that's fantastic. ❤️❤️ What kinds of things do you enjoy writing about or drawing? C: Any particular topics/themes you enjoy?
Aww, I'm very pleased to see you spreading such good body positivity. I think your outlook on it is fantastic and very much true, and it's great to hear you talking selfies and reminding yourself how beautiful you are! Don't let anyone else say otherwise - their opinions do not matter. Only your own. ❤️❤️ Amen to that, though - loving oneself can be a hard thing to do, especially since many of us suffer from depression, self-doubt, and self-hatred. It's not an easy road to travel... but that shouldn't stop us from trying. I feel like, almost, the harder it is to overcome, the more worth it that was in the end - that the trial makes the triumph all the more profound. It's one of those things that can be a constant battle though, but well - stay DETERMINED, you know? ❤️❤️
Anyways, your post was very lovely (and fascinating) to read. Thank you for sharing your thoughts about some of the things that help you!
